  Best Food and service in digby! We go every summer and always LOVE every meal. So much selection as well. Highly recommend and driving the distance if close by!

  Great place to stop for a quick bite. I noticed it's been busy since opening for the season. So I finally stopped by for some clams and fries. Ordered the smaller size; it was plenty of food. Clams were fresh and a good serving size. (not just a plate of fries with a couple of clams!) Came with home fries, which are my preference. Sorry I didn't take a picture of the plate of food! I intended to, but when I unwrapped it, it looked so good I just dug in!
  
  I got the impression that they usually have regular fries as an option. He did tell me, when I ordered, that they only had home fries. I included a picture of the menu board with current pricing. Important since I believe it's cash  only.
  
  Friendly service. Very quick.
  
  I don't eat deep fried food very often. So, when I do, I don't want a greasy mess and I want the food to be worth eating. And it's been awhile since I had a feed of clams that was that good, so I'll be going back.

  I'd never been to Digby before this past weekend, so when the opportunity arose and work offered to pay, I jumped at the opportunity.
  
  Before pulling into town, I did my Yelp-homework and had decided on a scenic waterfront patio. We walked right by the restaurant, my boyfriend swearing the whole time that roadside trailer food is better than any restaurant.
  
  We had seen the little trailer on the way into town and he had coolly pointed it out as we rolled by. We decided collectively to split the seafood platter and he wanted an additional small scallops and fries. He headed back to the car and I ordered.
  
  The man taking the orders advised me that the seafood platter was unavailable because they had no clams. I requested a substitution - anything - and was told this was not possible. They just "couldn't do it". I have no idea why, this seemed so ridiculous that they couldn't substitute in more of anything else on the platter. They weren't even apologetic about it. We ended up with a large plate of scallops and lobster bits and fries.
  
  They stumped me at the homefries or regular fries question, as I was imagining homefries breakfast-style in small chunks. Turns out they're just seasoned regular fries, which were delicious.
  
  The scallops were hot and well seasoned - not over cooked, and the lobster was a bit chewy. They serve the lobster bits with garlic butter. That maybe in my arteries until I die, but it was worth it.their home-made tartar sauce was extremely underwhelming. All in all is was just a lot of deep fried food.
  
  Especially after we finished by splitting a slice deep fried cheesecake. Interestingly enough, and different than other places I've been, it's wrapped in a sheet of pastry before being deep fried, not battered.
  
  All in all is stop again if I were ever in town. Decent deep fried coastal fare at fair prices.

  We came because the locals suggested it. There were definitely plenty of locals waiting for food when we ordered. One of their fryers was down, so it took a very long time for us to get our food. They also mixed up our order slightly.
  
  We ordered a seafood platter for $24 ish. It had fish, clam strips, mussels, scallops, and lobster bites, of I recall correctly. Nothing stood out save for the scallops. There were six of them and they were sweet and delicious. We also had two plates of haddock ends and a lobster roll. The lobster roll was kinda squished. For $8.50, it wasn't expensive, as lobster rolls go, but I wouldn't order it again.
  
  We had asked that one of our sides of fries be substituted for onion rings. It cost $1. We asked that a second be substituted for sweet potato fries. That was supposed to cost $3. Because of the long wait, they did give us 2 cans of pop for free. We waited for almost an hour that night. When we got back to the hotel where we ate our takeout order, we found that we did get onion rings, but we did not get sweet potato fries. Not cool.
  
  If I did a return trip to Digby, and I hope I do, I won't go out of my way to come back.

  We have been coming to the motorcycle rally here in Digby for years and have always had a great time. Finding this takeout has certainly been a highlight as far as food goes!  The clams rank amongst the best I have ever had!  Service was friendly...picnic table in the shade....hard to beat!
